Congressional Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi responded to President Donald Trump’s primetime address on border wall funding and illegal immigration.

Pelosi said women and children at the border are a “humanitarian challenge,” countering the president’s statement that illegal immigration is causing a humanitarian “crisis.” Schumer said that both Democrats and the president want stronger border security, but he added that they sharply disagree with the most effective way to do it.
